These are SMS sent to manage your enquiry or your existing system. Examples include:

Because these SMS are factual messages directly related to a service you've asked us to provide, they are generally not "commercial electronic messages" for the purposes of the Spam Act. We still try to keep them to a minimum.

Marketing SMS

5. How to stop receiving SMS

You can opt out of marketing SMS from us at any time. It's free, and we'll honour it immediately.

Reply STOP to any marketing SMS we send and we'll add your number to our suppression list within one business day. Replying STOP doesn't cost you anything — standard message rates apply to the SMS itself but our SMS gateway accepts STOP replies free of charge.

You can also opt out by emailing hello@solarpowerco.com.au with the subject line "Unsubscribe SMS" and the mobile number you'd like removed.

Please note: even after you opt out of marketing SMS, we may still send you essential service SMS related to an existing booking, install, warranty claim or active enquiry. If you'd like us to stop those too, please let us know in writing and we'll close the relevant matter.

6. Sender identification

Every marketing SMS we send will clearly identify The Solar Power Co. as the sender, either in the message content or in the sender ID, in accordance with section 17 of the Spam Act.

7. We don't share or sell your number

We do not sell, rent or trade your mobile number to third parties for their marketing. Your number is shared only with the service providers required to operate our business (such as our SMS gateway provider) under appropriate confidentiality arrangements. See our privacy policy for full detail.
